This recipe comes from "The Primal Blueprint Cookbook" by Mark Sisson. It was a fun and easy recipe to make. If you do not like cumin, I would skip this recipe or omit it!
Turkey Kebabs
adapted from "The Primal Blueprint Cookbook"
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs ground turkey breast
1 garlic cloves
1 T olive oil
1 egg
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp or less cayenne pepper
2 T finely chopped parsley
1 T finely chopped mint
Instructions:
If you are using wooden skewers, soak them for about 15-20 mins to prevent burning. Pre-heat your grill or skillet to med-high heat. Spray grill or skillet with cooking spray. Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Form elongated turkey meatballs with the mixture. Thread the elongated meatballs onto the skewers and immediately place on the grill or skillet. Cook for 6-8 mins and then flip to cook the other side for a similar amount of time.

These are really fun and cute! I just stuck some ground turkey in the freezer that was about to expire yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOoh! These look nice & easy. I am going to have to share them with some of my competitors in my "game on" diet. They are following the "primal blueprint" diet.
ReplyDeleteYum! We are following a Primal Blueprint diet right now, so I'm on the lookout for new stuff. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese look really good! I have that cookbook on my list of things to look through. Thanks for the good review.
ReplyDeleteThis looks SO GREAT!!! Thanks for stopping by earlier and for your sweet note! Made my day!!! Can't wait to see your Superbowl Picks {food-wise that is LOL}!
ReplyDeleteYummy! I read The Primal Blueprint not too long ago and I didn't realize they had a cookbook. I've never checked out a cookbook before from the library. I will definitely have to keep it on the other side of the kitchen too. haha :)
ReplyDeleteCover the recipe with plastic wrap. It helps to keep all the good stuff off the pages. You should see my recipes, some are barely readable due to spillage LOL.
ReplyDeleteThese look tasty! So glad I found your blog! I gotta add it to my google reader ;)
