Friday Edition: Yummy Finds

If you are in the U.S., there is a good chance that you, like me, have been suffering through a heat wave.  It is brutal outside, isn't it?  I am very thankful for air conditioning at my house, otherwise sleeping would be a nightmare.  I hope you have AC too!

Given the heat and high humidity, I should have found frosty beverages or frozen desserts to feature today.  Instead I found cocktails!  Well maybe if you have a few of the cocktails you can forget how hot it is!

Oh yummy!  Doesn't that look fun?  It almost looks like a dessert.  For those who don't know Val, she lives in Southern California, though I read on her blog that she likes Boston sports teams.  She is sarcastic, loves coffee and is addicted to Target (who isn't?).  Val posts great entries about food, travel and her life is SoCal!  Stop by and say hi!

Well technically this is a "mocktail" and not a cocktail since the ingredients do not include alcohol.  But I am sure we could figure something out if we wanted to!  The ingredients are simple and it sounds really refreshing!

What are your favorite cocktails, mocktails, or drinks that you sip on to cool yourself down?  For me, unsweetened ice tea with lemon is my go-to summer drink!  Can't get enough.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. Actually, we have been having a surprisingly mild summer.... er, for Central Cali. Which I guess is still hot. I am just so thankful that it isn't 100+ this month. :)

I am going to try that watermelon one - oh, I love watermelon!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am off to subscribe to yours. :)
