Dinner isn't the only meal that I have to make fast. I am usually scarfing down breakfast too. Most mornings I will make egg whites and a piece of wheat bread toast and eat that while I put on my makeup for work.
Day after day of egg whites can get really boring.
So after reading Laura's recipe for chocolate breakfast pudding, I was inspired! I couldn't find chia seeds in any of the stores that I shop. So I thought subbing in oatmeal would work too. And it did, and it is delicious!
Chocolate Oatmeal
Ingredients
1 C EAS Myoplex Lite Ready to Drink chocolate protein shake (updated: you can also use chocolate milk!)
1/2 C quick cook oats
1 T peanut butter
1/2 banana, sliced
Instructions:
Combine the EAS and the oats. Microwave for about 1.5 mins. Stir in 1 T of peanut butter. Top with banana. Enjoy!
What do you eat for breakfast? Do you usually shovel breakfast down while doing something else?

ReplyDeleteHmm, yummie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! The kids are gonna love that! :)
ReplyDeleteWe eat all kinds of breakfasts - eggs, bacon and toast; oatmeal; cream of wheat; rice with milk; pancakes; waffles; bagels and fruit. I like to keep it varied.
We never eat it quickly. Being a homeschooling family, breakfast is the start of our day and we eat it leisurely over our bible lesson and conversation. :)
Yum! Going to have to try this. I am a die hard cereal lover. But I try to keep it to moderation. lol. My husband loves variety with his breakfast food.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, my grandma used to put chocolate chips into my oatmeal for me. This sort of -- reminds me of that :)
