Friday Edition: Yummy Finds

First an earthquake and now a hurricane!  I don't even want to think what's going to happen next month.  Truthfully I did not even feel the earthquake, and only found out about it because it was all over the news.  And the news was covering it as if we were in VA or DC.  Which we are not.  We are in New England, far away from the epicenter.

But the news quickly found something else to love - Hurricane Irene.  The way they are hyping it up has motivated me to buy enough canned goods for a week.  I am officially freaked out.  What about you?  Did you feel the earthquake?  Are you going to get hit by the hurricane?

Let's leave those worries behind and focus on fun stuff - like the yummy things that I found this week!  Both are desserts (yum) and both are pies!

I just found Marci's blog this week and I love the concept behind it - you are always trying to balance aspects of your life.  She is funny, she loves shoes, and she posts vegetarian and vegan recipes.  When I saw the recipe for Vegan Pumpkin Pie I was intrigued - how can you make a pie without any milk or eggs?  Well Marci did, and I can't wait to try it!  I hope you stop by and check out Marci's other recipes!

p.s. I am linking up at Design It Chic's blog hop!

  3. So glad you dropped by Happy Hour Projects, though I have to say, it was dangerous of me to visit a foodie site when I'm on a clear liquid diet, LOL!

Everything looks delicious. I can't wait for my GERD to be fixed so I can start eating such delectable-looking stuff again. :)
