Friday Edition: Yummy Finds

Happy Friday folks!  I am sitting here drinking my coffee and wrapped up in my robe enjoying the light snow fall that is blanketing my front yard.  It doesn't look like we will get as much as the weatherman said, but I think that is a good thing.

I was unable to reach out to fellow bloggers to get my yummy finds this week.  Too busy dealing with work, a cold and the Toddler moving into a big girl bed!  So instead I am grabbing a few recipes from Southern Living Magazine.  I think I have told you before that I am not from the South, and with the exception of going to Florida, I really have never been to the South.  (Well, unless you count DC and Maryland as part of the South).  But I am fascinated with the South nevertheless!

The most recent issue of Southern Living has a section devoted to pimiento cheese.  It looks fabulous!!  Could someone tell me what it is, why it is so popular in the South and why it seems to be paired with strawberry preserves??

Wow!  This looks so good.  And the recipe looks so easy.  I mean, anything that calls for refrigerated pie crusts has my vote!

Ohmygoodness...like I said - don't know what this cheese is, don't know why it is a big deal - but this sandwich looks amazing.  Find the recipe here and then tell me all about this cheese, please!
